Black Chair
The black chair produces weekly random conversations about what matters to us in life. Waltraud, a 61-year-old Gestalt Psychotherapist, is talking to creative people from all walks of life about ageing, white supremacy, love, sex, relationships, emigration and more. What is wisdom, and where does it come from?
From Jungian Analyst, Therapists, Photographers, graphic designers, Tradies to Non-binary and persons of colour. Waltraud aims to listen, learn and share with the young to the ageing ‘oh so wise’ ones.
We are speaking to a ‘creative’ about the medium they work in and how it influences their living.
The sessions are about 50 min long, just like the session at a therapists room. These conversations are an attempt to lift the veil on what Therapy is, how depression is experienced differently, what is Therapy, how do the highs and lows in the life of a creative person show up?
Join us in a conversation about Therapy and how the arts, crafts and the creative endeavours can aid, get in the way and support our well-being.

Kaja was our first guest in the Black chair series. The chats are not scripted and are totally authentic to what arises at the moment. Trusting that what needs to be said will be said.
